Swimming Pool Update

Cleaning

In preparation for the swimming season, we are ready to gather our team of teenagers 14 years or older to clean and maintain our neighborhood swimming pool. Interested applicants, please contact Amanda Solvason 334-391-3287.

On Thursday, 14 May at 10:00 AM we will conduct our annual pool cleaning day. Teen applicants should attend, but all HRCA neighbors are invited and hope you will consider helping.  Many hands make light work.

Tasks include:

  • Scrubbing bathrooms
  • Sweeping the patio
  • Removing leaves and critter nests that have collected over the winter
  • Wiping down our patio furniture
  • Skimming the pool
  • Folding and storing the pool cover

Opening

As a result of Governor Kemp’s Executive Order from April 23, 2020, public swimming pools, which include subdivision pools will not be allowed to open until this order is lifted.  The conditions of this order are in place through May 13, 2020, but the date could change as a result of future Executive Orders.

Based on the expected expiration of the Executive Order, we have established Saturday, May 16th as the tentative date for opening the pool.  This is contingent on the approval of the Fayette County Health Department.

Warning

It is understood that the Covid19 pandemic is still ongoing.  Daily cleaning of the pool area will be enhanced.  All residents should be aware of the potential for health risks during the pandemic and persons with underlying health conditions and the elderly should be especially aware of the risks of being in a public area. The HRCA is not responsible for ensuring the health or safety of users. The following notice will be posted at the pool and tennis court: USE AT OWN RISK. CORONAVIRUS COULD BE PRESENT.
